We expand our global manufacturing network with a new production facility in China

As we approach the end of 2025, we are proud to share one of the most important milestones of this year: the launch of our new production facility in China. This strategic step strengthens our global manufacturing capabilities and brings us closer to one of the fastest-growing shipbuilding markets in the world.

A new hub for DMT production in Asia

With the acquisition of this facility, now operating as DMT Hinlee Marine Equipment, we have expanded our ability to manufacture DMT deck machinery directly in the Asian region. Nearly 100 colleagues are now part of the team, ensuring that every product is built according to the quality standards that define DMT worldwide.
In our new facility, we are managing the complete production flow in-house: steel cutting and metal construction, machining and surface treatment and assembly, painting and final testing.

The introduction of our own test stand on site marks a significant improvement, allowing us to certify each piece of equipment before delivery.

Strong production results in 2025

Despite being newly established, the facility has quickly demonstrated its value. By the end of October this year, we successfully delivered: 182 winches, and 131 additional equipment units, including chain stoppers and capstans.

This performance confirms that expanding our presence in Asia was the right strategic move and that our combined teams are fully aligned with our long-term vision.

Building on a longstanding partnership

Our CEO, Piet ter Schure, and our General Manager China, Brett Qian, have collaborated for many years, gradually strengthening the bridge between our European operations and our presence in Asia.

As Piet highlights:
